Appeal Launched After Theft of Woman's Purse

Officers are investigating the theft of a purse belonging to a woman in her seventies and have released an image of a man they wish to speak with in connection to the incident.

The victim was shopping on Commercial Road, Bulwell, when the theft occurred shortly before 2pm on Saturday, 17th February.

Investigators believe that the man captured in the released images may have valuable information pertaining to the case and urge anyone who recognises him to come forward with details.

PCSO James Lievesley, from Nottinghamshire Police, commented:

"This incident has caused distress to the victim, and we are committed to identifying the individual responsible.

"We believe that the man depicted in these images could assist us in our inquiries, and it is important for us to speak with him.

"Although the image quality may not be optimal, the distinct clothing worn by the individual, including a white t-shirt over a white long sleeve top, is likely to be recognisable to those who know him."

Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact 101, quoting incident number 391 of 17th February 2024.
