Criminal behaviour order for shop thief

A shoplifter in Cambridge, Robert Muttock, 31, received a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Friday 12th April.

Muttock, who has no fixed address, is prohibited from entering any Sainsbury’s, Co-Op, or John Lewis store within the boundary of the M11, A11, or A14.

This CBO comes after Muttock's recent conviction for theft in March, where he was sentenced to seven months in prison after pleading guilty to multiple shoplifting charges.

Sergeant Dan Scott, from the Spree Offending Team, commented, “Muttock is a prolific shoplifter. We hope this order will deter him from reoffending upon his release from prison, or else he will face further incarceration.

“We continue to collaborate closely with businesses across the city to combat shop theft. We urge affected businesses to report any breaches, which will be robustly dealt with by the courts.”
