Police investigating distraction thefts in Haywards Heath have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incidents.

Two incidents occurred at the Lloyds Bank branch in South Road, where elderly customers were targeted while using the cash machine.

The first incident took place on January 6, followed by a second incident on February 11.

To prevent such thefts, individuals using cash machines are advised to remain vigilant and avoid distractions. If something seems suspicious, it's best to avoid the situation and consider going inside the bank to withdraw funds.

The described individual is a slim man in his 30s, approximately 5’8” tall, wearing dark clothing, including a black coat.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information about the incidents is urged to come forward.

Witnesses or those with information can report directly to Sussex Police online via their website or call 101, quoting serial number 483 of 12/02.
