Police have released CCTV images following reports of gift card fraud at a Co-op store in Louth, Lincolnshire, and are appealing to the public to help identify a man they wish to speak to.

The incident is reported to have taken place at the Co-op on Northgate at around 4.40pm on Saturday 13 December 2025.
According to Lincolnshire Police, a man entered the store and selected four gift cards. At the checkout, he handed over two of the cards to be activated, but paid an incorrect amount of money. During the transaction, it is alleged that the man swapped the activated gift cards with two others he had in his pocket.
After realising the payment issue, the man received his money back and told staff he would return after withdrawing cash from a nearby ATM. However, he did not return to the store.
Officers believe the activated gift cards were then fraudulently taken from the premises.
Police Appeal
Lincolnshire Police have now issued a CCTV appeal and are keen to identify the man pictured, as they believe he may be able to assist with their enquiries.
A spokesperson for the force said:
“We are asking anyone who recognises the individual in the CCTV images, or who has information relating to this incident, to get in touch.”
